The Philadelphia 76ers played the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on Tuesday night.  It was a team in which the Sixers should of had no problem defeating if they played the basketball in which has defined them all season long.  The Sixers did just that in defeating the Cavaliers, 103-85 in front of over 17,000 fans who came out to the South Philadelphia complex.

The Sixers forced 18 turnovers and committed 11 themselves and they hold the Cleveland Cavaliers to 28 for 70 shooting for 40 percent on the night.  It seemed like the Sixers had total control of the game but they just could not put the Cavaliers away until the end.  The Cavaliers got to within 11 points of the Sixers with just under five minutes left in the game.  That was as close as they would get all night.

The Sixers got a career game from guard Jodie Meeks who had 31 points on the night.  The Sixers also got 19 points from guard Jrue Holiday.

The Philadelphia 76ers do know how to beat the teams in which they should beat.  They have proven tha this season so far.  They are 18-5 against teams that are sub .500.

The Sixers play another team on Friday night in which they should defeat and defeat without any problems too. The Sixers go to Washington and play the Wizards which have just 11 wins all season.  The Sixers than come back home for a little bit of a tougher team in the Atlanta Hawks and play them on Saturday night at the Wells Fargo Center.

The Sixers goal right now and no doubt about it is to win the Atlantic Division title.  They have the Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks right there with them.  This division race is going to come down to the wire and it is so important for the Sixers to win it because that would guarantee that they would avoid the Chicago Bulls and the Miami Heat in the first round of the playoffs.  Winning the Atlantic Division would also give the Sixers a well deserved opening round home court advantage.  The key to the rest of the regular season will be the Sixers playing better offense and of course continue their defensive play in which has had them on top of the division for most of the season
