Are you ready for some football!  Yes it is only April and we are talking about NFL football before even the NFL Draft.  This is why the NFL has this night of officially announcing the NFL Schedule for the upcoming season, to generate excitement and guess what it has.  Everyone looks at the schedule and well starts marking the wins and the losses.

The Philadelphia Eagles open the 2012 season in Cleveland against the Cleveland Browns but have tough games after that in the next seven weeks.  It does appear that the toughest part of the Philadelphia Eagles 2012 schedule is the early part of it.

Andy Reid who will be coming back for his 14th year as head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles knows that this year he has to improve on the 8-8 record the Eagles had in 2011.  There were so many expectations with this team last year with the so called "Dream Team".  That all fell apart and now Andy Reid faces a season which could be possibly his last if he does not fix what happened in 2011.

After week one the Philadelphia Eagles will host the Baltimore Ravens in their home opener at Lincoln Financial Field on September 16.  This will match up John Harbaugh against his former team for the first time since becoming a head coach.

The Eagles in week three on September 23 will play in Arizona against the Cardinals and also against their former quarterback Kevin Kolb.

On September 30th the Philadelphia Eagles play the New York Giants, the defending Super Bowl champs and their divisional rival on Sunday Night Football at Lincoln Financial Field.  This game is going to be a typical NFC East war between this two rivals.  This game is going to be very interesting and will be a jump start for one of these two teams seasons.  A typical Giants-Eagles game.

The Philadelphia Eagles on October 7th hit the road to Pittsburgh to take on their cross-state rival the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field.  It will be Michael Vick against Ben Roethlisberger.  The Eagles then come back home to take on a young and upcoming Detriot Lions team on October 14 before the Eagles go into their bye week.

The Eagles after the bye week which Andy Reid is 13-0 all time they will play the Atlanta Falcons again for the fifth consecutive season and then the following week they head to New Orleans for a really difficult Monday Night game against the Saints.

On November 11th, the Philadelphia Eagles play the dreaded Dallas Cowboys at home and on November 18th go down I-95 to play the Washington Redskins.

The Eagles then come home for a Nov 26th Monday Night Game against the Carolina Panthers and Cam Newton.  Then a December 2nd date in Big D against the Dallas Cowboys and then on December 9th to Tampa Bay and the Buccaneers.

The Eagles then have a short week and play Thursday night December 13th against the Cincinnati Bengals and than they have ten days off before they play on December 23rd at the Linc against the Washington Redskins and then what could be for everything and all the marbles in the Eastern Division the Eagles travel to the Meadowlands and play the New York Giants.

Philadelphia Eagles fans start marking your schedules and giving your predictions on the Eagles upcoming 2012 season.  It is going to be a very interesting upcoming season and we are only in April.  The NFL Draft is just a week away.  The excitement begins and well it will last as the season begins in September.  Let the chat and talking begin.
